INFUSED PRE-ROLLS
While a regular pre-roll is made by packing flower into rolling paper, an infused pre-roll goes next level with the addition of cannabis concentrates like hash, bubble hash, rosin, diamonds, distillate, kief, and terp sauce.
What is an Infused Pre-Roll?
You know what a pre-roll is: a “joint” you can purchase off the shelf of your dispensary, already rolled and ready to enjoy. An infused pre-roll is a pre-rolled “joint” that is also packed with some type of concentrate , including kief, wax, or shatter. Infused pre-rolls still have all the flavor and scent that a normal pre-roll would, but they are jam-packed with potency thanks to the addition of the concentrate. Because of this, you should always take an infused pre-roll much slower and at a lower dose than you would a non-infused pre-roll.
How are Infused Pre-Rolls Made?
The process of creating infused pre-rolls starts with selecting a quality flower strain. The selected flower is then finely ground, creating a base for the pre-roll. Next, the concentrated cannabis product, whether it's kief, wax, hash, shatter, or moon rocks, is carefully incorporated. The infused pre-roll is then snugly rolled using quality rolling papers.
You can also make your own infused pre-rolls. While you can grind and roll your flower at home, you can also purchase a non-infused pre-roll and add your favorite concentrate to it. For some people, it’s as simple as dipping the end of your pre-roll into a concentrate. Other cannabis enthusiasts get fancy with their pre-rolls, creating little designs of wax on the end of the roll. However you add your concentrate to your pre-roll, the end result is the same: a potent, aromatic, and flavorful experience.
How are Infused Pre-Rolls Different From Regular Pre-Rolls?
Infused pre-rolls are a little bit more intense compared to non-infused pre-rolls because the added concentrate significantly boosts the potency. Additionally, infused pre-rolls may have a richer flavor profile, thanks to the terpenes and cannabinoids that are found in certain types of concentrates. This combination of potency, taste, and aroma makes infused pre-rolls popular among cannabis enthusiasts, both seasoned and new.
What are the Different Types of Infused Pre-Rolls?
Like with most cannabis products, you can find a variety of infused pre-rolls at your dispensary. Here are some of the most common infused pre-rolls for sale:
Kief-Infused Pre-Roll:
Kief is the resinous trichomes that cover cannabis flowers. Kief-infused pre-rolls are created by either adding the kief before rolling or by putting a little concentrate on the outside of the pre-roll and then coating it with a layer of kief.
Wax-Infused Pre-Roll:
Wax, a cannabis concentrate, is a sticky, pliable product that can be added to the inside or the outside of an infused pre-roll. Whether the end is dipped or the wax is applied before it’s rolled, both options create a unique experience.
Hash-Infused Pre-Roll:
Hash is a concentrate made with the dried trichomes of a marijuana plant, also called kief. Hash-infused pre-rolls deliver a robust and distinctive flavor profile, along with potent effects that many cannabis enthusiasts love.
Shatter-Infused Pre-Roll:
Shatter is a cannabis concentrate known for its glass-like consistency. Shatter-infused pre-rolls, a combination of ground flower and shatter, offer a highly concentrated experience. The translucent appearance of shatter also creates a visually appealing addition to the pre-roll.
Moon Rocks:
A Moon Rock is the name of a specific type of infused pre-roll. The cannabis flower and concentrate are rolled together into a pre-roll that is then dipped in kief.
